A Product Carbon Footprint Tool by Doconomy.
Desktop Beta Version
The 2030 Calculator (Beta version 1.0_Apparel) was launched by Doconomy
with the ambition for product brands (and material suppliers), to better
understand the carbon footprint of the products and materials they
produce as well as provide the transparency that will allow consumers to
make informed consumption choices.
To complete a product carbon footprint calculation, the user has to have
production data available including the total weight of the product as
well as the weight and material of each product part (or piece of
packaging material), the location of each material supplier, the
location of the manufacturing facility (and type of energy used) and the
location of the final distribution center, including the modes of
transport between them.
Through Doconomy’s collaboration with the United Nations Climate Change
Secretariat (UNFCCC), to educate and engage individuals around climate
action, additional innovative tools to explain our impact are also
developed. Doconomy utilizes innovation, data and design to support
consumers change of behavior by enabling well-informed choices, which in
turn, promote responsible consumption.
