A Product Carbon Footprint Tool by Doconomy. Desktop Beta Version 1.0_Apparel

The 2030 Calculator (Beta version 1.0_Apparel) was launched by Doconomy with the ambition for product brands (and material suppliers), to better understand the carbon footprint of the products and materials they produce as well as provide the transparency that will allow consumers to make informed consumption choices.

To complete a product carbon footprint calculation, the user has to have production data available including the total weight of the product as well as the weight and material of each product part (or piece of packaging material), the location of each material supplier, the location of the manufacturing facility (and type of energy used) and the location of the final distribution center, including the modes of transport between them.

Disclaimer

The emissions factors used in the calculations have been sourced from a variety of validated, third-party open data sources (see methodology ) and include a blend of CO2 and (GWP normalized) CO2e values, with final carbon footprint calculated in kg CO2e. The purpose of the calculations generated by The 2030 calculator tool is to give an acceptably accurate indication of the cradle-to-gate carbon footprint of a product, suitable for self-declaration by a product manufacturer or product brand. They are not intended to be used for any other purpose. Although we have made every effort to validate all data used in our calculations to the extent possible, Doconomy and our listed partners do not make any representations about the accuracy of the data obtained from third party sources.
